Last Friday I spent some time in the studio with my fiance and some friends.  The goal was to get some nice headshots for James and to figure out a lighting pattern for my professional project on women's reproductive health if I do portraits.  Here's a few of the results.  I'm still in debate between color and b&w for my project but I'm leaning towards b&w for it's classic appeal and unifying element.  The light will also be the same.  I know the rim light is hot in the two light set up but the studio is super narrow and it just really needed to be backed up further.  But honestly I'm really digging the single almost side light with a gold reflector on the other side.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.  And enjoy.
